Johannes Martini (ca. 1440-ca. 1497) was trained in Flanders and worked mostly in Ferrara and Milan. The most important sources of his secular work are Casanatense and Florence 229. His "chansons" are very often probably instrumental pieces with just an allusive titel. They are of very fine quality.
